Looking for advice on which torch to buy, criteria:

Fits in pocket, but not so small that I'll lose it!
As bright as possible! With a nice spread of light too
Battery will last a decent length of time (rechargeable would be cool too if possible)
Waterproof? It rains a lot here...

I tried to google but it seems to return many Chinese items and I've no idea if any of them are actually any good or not, advice much appreciated!

Cheers!

Edit to add:
Is 20 quid enough? Should I spend a bit more for something miles better than what 20 quid will allow?

Cheers!

After far to much time in a hole looking for something similar I bought this. It's tiny so you may want to attach it to something bigger, but it does all you (and I) needed.

Go on, I'll bite...Why? You'll doubtless be able to pick up something that outputs a gazillion lumens, but that just drains the battery faster. I use an old Niterider handlebar light as a torch which probably maxes out at 250lm and for dog walking, Scout Leadering and anything elsing that I need a torch for it's more than enough light.

I mean, it used to be 'buy a maglight' but theres a huge selection these days.  Issue with a lot is

- built in li-ion battery that will (probably) fail long before theres anything else wrong with the torch

- 'soft' button which is both easy to turn on by mistake in your pocket or has some annoyingly complicated method of locking (and often results in a constant small battery drain so the torch will be flat if you've not used it in a long while.

These are really nice and avoid those issues -

Also have a high CRI emitter and very clean beam.

though you have to remove the battery to charge (and need a suitable charger - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173218561556?chn=ps&_ul=GB&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&google_free_listing_action=view_item) it will also run on AAA's

As I get older my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I have a cheap torch just now but it's old and not bright at all - I can't find things I drop it's that bad haha!

Wuben C3 would be my choice. Might be over the £20 but should be below £30? 18650 battery and in body USBC charging.

Edit: looks like £30.

Sofirn SC28 would be my new choice. I own another Sofirn torch which is good.
