You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Whilst deliberating on our T6 LBW conversion (see the pop top thread), friends of ours have just had this done in the last 3-weeks by not just campers in Sheffield.
Little tight for me in regards to the getting in and out of the bed with the bikes there (they often take climbing kit or only 1 bike so they are prepared to compromise a bit more), but goes to show what you can do, with limited space.
Where do the front wheels/helmets/camelbaks/change of clothes go?
Where do the front wheels/helmets/camelbaks/change of clothes go?
Yeah it looks really nice in the pictures but it'll get real tight, soggy and muddy in there very quickly under normal use.
I quite like the look of this. Agreed, not terribly comfortable for multi nights, but if it's just for a Friday and/or Saturday night I think Mrsready & I could put up with it. Nice job!
Nicely done, but I bet they fit an external bike rack after a couple of trips!
Yeah going to be interested how they find it (this is their 4th van so they do have experience with what they need/want). For me I need to have a wall to separate the wet damp kit, and more storage (hence us having the LWB). Do love their ability to just get on, make it happen and go away though. I need to learn to do the same.
On a slight tangent, would there be enough space in a LWB Berlingo/Citan/etc to do a day van/occasional camper?
Yes there is. There is enough room in the standard wheelbase so a lwb is luxury!
