Just watched Simon Schama on Kuenssberg today and he's a real breath of fresh air, could listen to him for hours. Loved his history of Britain series all those years ago with his unique story telling style.
I tried reading Landscape and Memory multiple times but for some reason drift off and have no idea what he’s going on about.
simon schama (he’s ok)
The Palestinians are disappointed.
I find him quite pompous (like a lot of TV historians)
Which is a shame as I generally find history really interesting
I think he is a bit past his prime in terms of new tv content, but I like his work generally and he is clearly a scholarly, thoughtful and kindly man.
