With Ikea's 160x200cm mattress offerings really limited, I've started looking around and have noticed Simba have a deal on at the moment.

Seems places to test out a Simba mattress in person are few and far between, but the returns sound easy enough.

Anyone got any experiences of these mattresses and, ahem, interested in PM me if wanting to take advantage of their refer a friend scheme?

We've had one a few years now. Very hard to get excited about a mattress. It's perfectly fine is about the sum total.

However, they are warm in summer, much more so than a conventional pocket sprung mattress. It claims to have loads of air channels in it, but that's just marketing BS.

I'd probably go back to a pocket sprung one next time, just a bit cooler in summer.

One of the reasons we got it was we have an old Habitat Euro king sized bed and there was quite a limited offering of mattresses in that size when we were last looking. Getting sheets that fit is still a PITA!

I like mine.

Not much to say about it but I've had it 6 years now and it's still comfortable. John Lewis were stocking them at the time, don't know if that's still the case but I was able to lay on one before buying.

I've got one. I don't find it too hot but I do find it a little soft.
It's pretty good though.
Got mine on Simba's eBay site so was a bargain at £200ish.

Had one for 4 ish years, very comfy, can be a bit to warm for summers but great in winter, I don't need an elec blanket and also sleep with window wide open all year around.

Utter crap, had one for just under three years and it started to lose shape/indent. Couldn't find receipt, binned it (recycled it through work). Bought an Emma (cheap through work) to replace it -equally crap but in a non supportive too soft kinda way.

Get a pocket sprung

We tried to buy ours through John Lewis but they couldn't order our size for some reason, so ended up buying direct...

Mine hasn't shown any signs of a permanent indent. I rotate it every few months so weight isn't always on the same spot.

Thanks all. Footflaps, we're in the same position in that we have (ordered) a Euro king size bed frame for the extra width, and finding that Ikea's mattress offering is not what it used to be hence further, online, searching.

If Simba doesn't work out I'm going all out for a hammock as can't be going through mattress research again.

DM me if interested in referring (you get a £150 voucher).

Simba for about 3+ years. As others have said, they are warm, so the duvet is normally between 2 Tog and max 6 Tog midwinter. Rotate the mattress monthly.
Oh, its comfortable and better than the Emma that we returned

Rotate the mattress monthly.

Don't think we've ever rotated ours. Several years old now (no actual idea) and no indents (yet).

DM me if interested in referring (you get a £150 voucher).

Thanks for the offer, but a voucher for another Simba mattress isn't that useful as we'd probably go back to pocket spring next (assuming we can find one the right size). Plus I'd have lost it long before we actually buy a new one.....

We’ve got a mammoth mattress - pretty sure it’s a hybrid of pocket springs with memory foam on top. I don’t think it feels any warmer than the previous mattress but it’s definitely more supportive.

I started to struggle slightly on it a while back - I hadn’t realised it was meant to be rotated every 3 months. Rotated it and back to comfy.

It was pretty expensive though - I think next time I might try something different. I actually wanted a Hypnos mattress like the premier inns use but my wife didn’t like it in the shop - even though she admitted she slept really well on one in a hotel.
