Plusnet are seemingly stopping mobile internet soon so I need to replace the SIM in my camper wifi.

Needs are about 20GB/month around £10 with free (or cheap) EU roaming.

So recommendations of  who to use please?

1p mobile is 10 quid for 25gb with roaming. Uses ee network as did Plusnet so if Plusnet were ok then 1p will be.

Lyca Mobile are on EE too. Currently £2.99 for 20GB, going up to £9.49 after 6 months.

Cheers, Lyca or 1p look good.

Anything with a larger roaming allowance? Lyca is 12GB and 1p is 14GB. Will be spending 3 weeks in a van in the Alps in January so it might get a bit of use!

So does the O2 but our mobiles are O2 and we like to have a different network in the WiFi (also O2 is a bit rubbish around home so will be changing at some point).

For info, both Lyca and Plusnet don't acces EE's band 20 4G network, Plusnet don't get 5G at all but Lyca do. Band 20 has advantages in congested urban areas and also rural areas.

1p gets full access to the full EE band coverage.

So although they all use EE, 1p is the most EE like.

Get the Lyca for now. Before you go away in January, port the number to Lebara - I dont think they have a Roaming limit, and abroad, the network doesn't matter as it will always connect to a locally available network. When you return, port the number to  anew deal on Lyca.

@TroutWrestler good idea, I don’t even need to faff about moving numbers as it’s just for internet (assuming they’re both 1 month rolling contracts with no minimum period).

Map

Stick any postcode in here and pan about in the resulting map.

I can't think of anywhere I don't get signal in the valley. Round the backs maybe where you would expect it. That's giffgaff

Cheers, that map is good but a bit pessimistic I think.
I’m on O2 which works pretty well, just a shame it’s rubbish around where I live.

Edit: Oops, had the map set to indoor, seems more realistic now I’ve changed it.

3-Mobile works fine here, but TBH I only pay £13 per month for an unlimited calls/text/internet access SIM anyway - and then £2 per day (if in Europe).

I get 60GB for ten quid with Smarty and cheaper tariffs are available. Roaming is mostly the same as at home, weird outlier countries aside.

It's against the site T&Cs to post referral codes which will save us both money so whatever you do don't DM me asking for one.
