My mates using a Nokia Lumnia and is going to change to a iPhone 4s instead.
Currently on orange network.... Is it a straight sim pull and put in the iPhone or will he need a different sim?
Also will anything need to be changed on the contract or will the data allowance be the same??
Cheers peeps

Data should be fine. iPhone will use a micro sim, I just cut my old one down. Easy to do, just search online for how.

If you're on O2 you might need to ask O2 to change a few settings to get Visual voice mail to work as it's specific to O2 and the iPhone.

Depends where the phone came from. Can be bought unlocked. Three use same network as Orange I think so if locked, either would work. If locked to a different network it costs about £15 to have the handset unlocked,

Dont know about the iphone and O2 but when i was with O2 i used to hand my old phones down to my parents who are on different networks and they worked fine....as others said, only a quick cheap job to unlock a phone from being tied to a network.

As far as I know, O2 don't habitually lock their phones to their network, except with the iPhone. The current owner should ring O2 to ask them to unlock it.

Maybe worth giving O2 a buzz then. The phone is a brand new 4s which is an unwanted upgrade from o2 so it'll be used my mates current orange contract
