I have two Grohe showers fitted at home and they've been faultless for 10 years. I want to put one in another property so I'm naturally thinking about another Grohe as they seem good quality.
As it's not going to be used 'that' much I don't fancy spending lots of £££ and I've seen the Grohe 1000 new from Germany for £102 which is cheap. The Grohe 2000 is almost double the price which got me wondering what the difference is between them - same make, both thermostatic and have a pipe with a handset on the end. What accounts for the price difference?
This also applies to other makes.
Brass vs. something else
Quality of the thermostat.
Quality of the materials
Marketing to give the illusion of choice?
Would have thought it is size of heater thing-a-me-bob, more water throughput at said temp?
Not electric tinribz, so no heater thang.
