Looking for a new shower head that isn't gimmicky or rubbish. 

For a mains mixer shower, chrome would be nice.

Everything seems to have balls.

I bought one with balls - it's better than the previous one that didn't have balls - embrace the balls!! 🙂

Water is pretty soft. No scaling issues on taps/kettle etc. East of Scotland.

Just find a Mira show head that suits, they are good quality and usually flow well.

Mira / Bristan / Grohe of any form but add in an in-line aerator if it is not already a head which reduces water flow.
