Very impressive!
You're gonna have to eat a lot of eggs to "recoop" the cost of that.

My sister in law would be loving your coop! She has a chicken businessand loves them. Brother in law not so much as he has to build the things!

My son forgot to shut the coop one night. They were his chickens and it wasn't the first time he'd not locked the door. They were living on borrowed time 🙁

It might have been a badger rather than a fox. Others in our village have had badgers steaming into their chickens.

BTW, Your coops rather outstanding. Nice work 🙂

ahh, we've fitted a sprung door closer, so hopefully that wont happen unless we block the door open for them to pop in and out, but thats usually only whilst were in the garden

cheers, we're pretty happy with it, but our new neighbours have now heard my full vocabulary of swear words!!!!!!!!

BTW not in the Hams over xmas as working but may pop down over new year

My folks have one of those Omlet efforts... It was expensive but its really good, we already had a varment proofed vegetable patch that we no use as their run... I'll get a pic up soon. My folks main area of concern is them getting eaten by mink and pine marten.

Ours I made from a couple of old garage doors, a rabbit hutch and 4 fence posts we already had.

This is la coop de Mme Moonteresse under construction in Portland OR. Built to a design suggested by Chris King, yes that Chris King! We lined the floor with galvanized wire and compacted it with hardcore to keep the rats and racoons out. Its made almost entirely from recycled material.

This was the chicken coop at Moonter Towers. It has a stonebuilt nesting room with nest boxes and perches. We gave up on chickens as we are surrounded by foxes.
