Being the owner of a nice new Cozze pizza oven (at the bargain price of £126 delivered)! I am now thinking about the bigger picture - where to put it, how to have it at worktop level, where to prep. the pizzas etc. Initial thoughts were to hunt on EBay for a stainless catering unit that I can leave out year-round, alternatively make a wooden unit and top it with a small piece of marble .
Can anyone suggest ideas, share pictures etc? Thank you 👍
I use a workmate with a bit of wood on it and some cardboard on that. Classy.
When my pizza oven arrived two years ago I quickly learned using it on the floor was awkward. With guests on the way, In about 45 minutes I cut an old solid timber door in half and assembled some legs and a stretcher to make a basic table.
Two years later, making pizzas near weekly, basic table still going strong.
I do all prep in the kitchen then walk out with pizza on peel. Too many flies out here to have ingredients outside.
Basically, don’t overthink it.
Here’s a pic if I’m lucky
Big enough for oven and a box of firewood.
I just use a normal metal fold away patio table and stand the pizza oven up on 2 bricks to bring it up to level.
No glitz,no glamour, just glorious pizza!
All the folding tables I looked at were way too low to be comfortable, until I came across these "poseur" tables which are designed for standing at with a drink. These are by far the cheapest I found: https://adexa.co.uk/Folding-Bar-Table-White-Plastic-60cm-Adexa-HQXY61
I might replace the top with something nicer, they just screw on.
I use a Roccbox, but would suit other ovens.
Mines on an old wooden patio table by the back door.
Prep in the kitchen.
The fox/ neighbours cats and the mice would have a field day with ingredients and flour all over the place outside.
We use an old cable reel drum, which gives good storage below.
I made a pizza shed out of pallets it has a prep table built in and you can cook in all weathers
I knocked up a little house with a platform on draw runners for ours to protect it from the wind mainly.
Attached it to the side of the BBQ shelter I made from scrap.
I made this from left over decking & fence posts. Need to make a windbreak for it.
