Need ideas, has to hold turntable, amp, couple hundred records (prefer behind doors), smallish TV, extra space for books etc wouldn't go amiss. Can't look "audiophiley". Can be metal, wood whatever. What you got?

I use the 4x4 size for all manner of things including my turntable (took out one separator on the top row)
This for inspiration:
The other prerequisite I forgot to mention was I'd really prefer not to go to ikea!

I've got one Al but my SO doesn't like it...
I use 2x2 expedits for 12s but have some of these for 45s - http://www.i-cubes.co.uk/
Not tried the 12" version but they look like nicer & more durable than the expedit. Currently 4 for 3
Expedit has been replaced by Kallax which is nearly identical

What's with the pathetic anti-Ikea snobbery? My last Ikea record cabinet lasted 15 odd years, I retired it a few months ago, just because I fancied a change. It survived a good many house moves too.
It was a bit more substantial than the Kallax, but Kallax is decent. It wouldn't fall over like the pic above even if I drop-kicked it. (The side might break though 🙂 )
One in the front room, one under the stairs

But, but... Where are the spikes and granite slabs?
They don't make em for Sonys 😛
Nothing against Ikea stuff, just the place brings me out in a panic attack!
In the end a local firm is going to build us something, in true stw fashion.
I hope they're going to be using artisanal wood 🙂
