So, who's made anything in a proper british bloke in a shed kind of way?

I made a full suspension mountain bike, but it's too ugly to show, plus the grass needed cutting.

I don't think anything's going to beat that splitter.

Not quite what you're asking for, but in terms of 'making the best with the tools you have available,' I once went camping and, late at night after a few beers I discovered that whilst I'd packed an airbed, I'd left the end cap at home.

Scrabbling around to find some means of securing it, I found a rubber mallet and a AA Maglite.

Stayed secure all night, that did.

Thats not camping. I bet you slept in a caravan aswell.

It was a few years ago, before I discovered Alpkit.
