I rarely drink nowadays but Christmas is the exception.

I am especially looking forward to a double IPA from Norway from Lervig, called Supersonic. I may have it on Christmas morning (too much?) or perhaps I'll wait. Depends on the mother in law. Hic!

Any special tipples planned?

Am I the only one that gets irritated to the point of rage by the term "tipple"?

I’m getting some today it’ll likely be beers from Anarchy, a few spirits and prosecco. Oh and some port for when I fancy a small tipple.

Not much in the way of tipples so far. Case of Birra Moretti, bottle of limoncello, couple of Cotes de Rhone, cheap plonk for mulled wine.

Tipple shopping to be completed this weekend. 🙂

Looking forward to this, picked it up in Italy as a treat to myself:

Got this, no idea what it'll be like. Kilchoman is a nice small distillery, always buy their stuff for sentimental reasons more than quality. It's a "special edition" which gives me the fear somewhat.

[img] [/img]

Got a litre of this to work through, looking forward to it:

Shed loads of Port (see previous thread).
A bottle of Bollinger Grande Annee.
A bottle of Dalwhinnie Winter's Gold.
12 bottles of various local ales.
Couple of bottles of ice wine.
Loads of red, mostly Bordeaux or Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon.

I'm planning on this year being VERY heavy.

A nice bottle of Port is one I'm looking forward to most. Some of the other posts have given me more ideas also...

It's Christmas innit! The Grande Annee is the continuation of a tradition where we do all the family stuff on Xmas day before returning home around 6pm, sitting down with me, my wife, a good bottle of fizz, some cheese and and possibly some Port. It is my favourite part of Christmas in truth.

Father in law makes this every Xmas morning - spoon of sugar in a champagne flute, a hit of brandy topped up with fizz - it’s a belter and the kind of tradition I like! End of the day is always a bottle of port - magic.

I have too much beer.

I'd already been to the local craft alcohol shop and bought a range of Christmas specials.
Then I ordered some stuff from Innis and Gunn (investor discount!)
Then I was bought 10 bottles of various craft stuff for my birthday.
And an 8 pint barrel thing from Windsor and Eton brewery. 8 pints! I can only manage about 3 in one go.
Then we won a case of Corona at the pub quiz.

To top it all, I've found a random bottle of 6X in the office.

Plus 20 y.o. port, 1978 Armagnac, 1993 Cognac.
