Loving the tag, I'm currently winning a vintage one on the eBay at the moment. Needs a little bit of work but will be very nice after a service and a polish

I had a Seamaster before this: the CW is built every bit as well from what I've seen so far. Really like it.

Here's my fave divers watch. Fully polished around 6 months ago as I didn't like the brushed outer links now just got a few light marks on the strap it could do with a light polish to get it back to perfect again

Throughout my life I've continually lost or broken watches, thought I'd go for a cheaper more replaceable number this time...I really didn't realise this guy used to wear one[img] [/img]

it's not my watch, nor my feminine wrist.
I did have one though, and wish I still did, it was possibly the greatest thing I have ever put on my wrist (avoiding any filthy anecdotes).
was the blue one the Decepticon one?

I was looking online for individual pictures of my two decent watches, and found one with both in the same picture. Omega Seamaster and a Breitling Superocean Steelfish. Currently have the Breitling on a brown leather strap which works really well, as mine has the blue dial.

Here's my four, in order of age, starting with my first proper grown-up watch, a Yema Rallygraf. French, mechanical, around '72-73. Hadn't worn it since the mid 80's after I bought a TAG, but recently had it repaired and serviced:

[IMG] [/IMG]

My TAG Series 1000, well-worn, as you can see:

[IMG] [/IMG]

My Yokobies mod Seiko 5, with a Tissot bracelet that was originally on the Yema, also dating from the early Seventies

[IMG] [/IMG]

And my Seiko SPORK, with 'sharkskin mesh' bracelet I got from eBay for $35, and which I'm wearing right now:

I also have a Halios Laguna, niche boutique watch, but I loved the retro cushion case, internal bezel and dual crown, so had to buy one.

This is my daily watch now with everything I need in a watch like solar power, world time and atomic timekeeping.

Casio G-Shock GWM5610-1

Tech specs

Mine is similar to the one on the right but I swapped the strap with the one on the left.

[img] [/img]

I guess I will wearing this watch for a long time and the next one will probably be the same brand again, perhaps even the same look but super tough. 😀

I have a thing for watches although can't afford (justify) 4 figures on one.

Fave at the moment is this Festina titanium doofer.

Nearly 20 years old and still working well although the strap needs some attention.

My new Ball Fireman Ionosphere. Purchased at a bargain price in the Ernest Jones sale. It will do until my 40th birthday in a few years, when I plan to add a Tudor Black Bay to the collection.

Not the most expensive nor the blingiest but it was a 30th birthday present from my wife. I've worn it nearly every day for the last 6 years:

[img] [/img]

Only had to replace the battery earlier this year but now the strap is in need of replacement. Just got a quote from an independent Seiko/Briel spares supplier and they want £50, just for the leather parts! Eek!

I've always worn my watch on the 'wrong' wrist, not sure why but it feels more comfortable. I see what you mean about the over glove look though 😆

Bling watches and someone posts a Nixon? Fail.

Sadly, any bling watch needs to be a Swiss automatic with an in-house movement at very least.

Not bling, but my favourite.
In need of a new crystal and service, but has a nice original face. MOD issue Hamilton chrono from the first batch. Markings on the back (W10) indicate it was originally intended for the army, but 6BB shows it was actually issued to the RAF, in 1970.
Might only be a couple of dozen left, of the 4-500 originally issued in the batch.
Pity there's no way to trace who it was issued to.

Bought this a couple of years ago while I was on holiday in the States. Couldn't decide between the black strap or stainless, until the girl in the shop said I could get the stainless one and they had the black straps in stock to buy seperately.

Sausagefingers - Yes but look at it now, that's a stunner.

I'm very into my early 70s watches

One of mine
A 1972 omega seamaster 300hz tuning fork watch, or 'hummer' cone as it's known.

DS, I'm liking your Ball Fireman very much, they look particularly good in the dark, too.
That Breitling Montbrillant Datora bowie278 is very much the sort of watch I dislike; far too much going on, I'd need to put my reading glasses on everything I'd want to see the time, just too fussy.

Sadly, any bling watch needs to be a Swiss automatic with an in-house movement at very least.

Well, that counts out an awful lot, these days, unless you're paying stupid amounts of money.
That Yema of mine shared its movement with Ramond Weil and Breitling, both pretty 'bling' forty years ago.
Personally, mine are relatively 'bling'; only by comparison with cheap mass-market quartz movement watches. I consider them what are known as 'tool watches', fairly pricey, but pretty plain and unadorned with fussy, useless functions, worn everyday as a functional tool.
A Tudor Pelageos would be my perfect, money-no-object watch:

[img] [/img]

All titanium case and bracelet.
And what it looks like in the dark:

needs to be a Swiss automatic

*Cries*

I've actually got quite fond of staggering downstairs in the morning in a bleary-eyed state, switching kettle on, getting some eggs/porridge out and then winding the watch up!

Vinnyeh, liking your Hamilton, needs a bit of TLC, but a nice watch.
Sausagefingers, I'm not going to ask how your poor Omega got into a washing machine, but they did a lovely restoration job on it. I'd have been heartbroken if I did that to my Yema, having had it from new for forty-something years.
