When I finished work for the Xmas holidays on 20th December I decided I'd not shave over the Christmas period to see if I could grow a beard (no I've not just reached puberty!). Still in the early days after 2 weeks and on the itchy phase. Hairs of top of lip need a little trim but hopefully should be there with something more substantial In a few weeks. I don't think I want a Ed Oxley style one! Anyway show me some hairy inspiration!
Shaved mine off yesterday it was too itchy........ and the Mrs didn't like it.
Shaved mine of this morning. It was a bit crap TBH and the Mrs complained all the time.
Will deffo have another go, in spite of being genetically not suited to beard growing.
@ mikewsmith - what are those shades, I loikes 'em?
cheap stuff from a sport shop in Brisbane, lost them very soon after
Ah, cool, cheers

This is my first serious attempt at a beard. The good news is that it has grown in reasonably quickly (that photo is at about 5-6 weeks). The bad news is that much of it is coming in grey!
Share the same circumstances OP, not sure if it's coming off tomorrow or not. Kids aren't fans - wife kind of likes it.
I've let the comedy goatee grow a bit over Xmas. The only problem is there is now more white and grey than anything else. Might have to trim it back to stubble length again.
* It's only there to create the "illusion of chin".
This was a goatee, but has merged a bit over the weekend...
