Hmmm? I'm no expert but that canopy doesn't look very stealthy?

Given their recent monkey in space tribulations, I'm voting no to worry.

Is that a cassette/radio at the bottom of that dashboard.. I mean cockpit?
On seeing the closeups of the cockpit (lol) it really looks like a mock-up..
Can't see any way of the canopy staying clamped closed for a start, then there's the apparent lack of radar in the nose, throttles etc..

1) If you want to build a stealth fighter, a canard design is just about the most idiotic way of going about it.

2) It looks fake

3) The weapons and avionics systems will be dogshit and engaging it will probably be like a turkey shoot for Israeli gen 4.5 vipers.

4) The wing loading looks hilariously bad.

5) Lastly it's no good having stealth fighters if your airspace intelligence, communications, training and command structure are shite. If it ever kicked off these would be destroyed on the ground before they got 5 meters from their hardened hangers.

I really do think that's a fake. So do the guys on The Fighter Control forum as well. That canopy looks plastic and there's no locking mechanism on it either. Utter garbage.

That is a genuinely stealthy plane I'm prepared to bet it will never be detected in flight be any modern radar .

Betting B&Q did well in the plywood department that month.

Well I'm scared...

I had a look at the video of this plane last night...ok I'm not an expert, just interested but here are some thoughts:

There is no head up display.

There is no optical targeting pod either.

The engine jet outlet looks a bit, er, small...

The two air intakes are very small and placed high up and far back...nice for compressor stalling.

It's quite shiny... If that's a stealthy paint job then it's totally different to what everyone else has been doing...

The cockpit looks a bit ( read, a lot), like a mock up.

The nose cone is tiny...is there a really really small radar in there?

The cockpit canopy is a bit, er, bubbly isn't it,? looks like its not very clear or that smooth...

Is their super stealth material actually plywood and evo-stick?

It looks like the hangar doubles as a stable.

Could it be.....

a (really bad) full scale model?

I guess the details don't count with Iranian propaganda.

What this needs is some internerds with too much spare time to make a mock up of a mock up

Can you wear one of those pressure suit/breathing mask setups with a massive beard? Or is that something they're going to make to work around?

There doesn't seem to be an ashtray or cigerrette lighter in that cockpit.

I think that dashboard is sporting cutting edge 8 track and Wonka vision!

No doubt the Iranian developers have posted on here asking the eternal question for optimising performance for take off and landings.

What tyres do you recommend, grip v longevity v cost

And do CRC or Wiggle deliver to Iran?

Well I'm scared...

I had a look at the video of this plane last night...ok I'm not an expert, just interested but here are some thoughts:

There is no head up display. - Too steathly to see

There is no optical targeting pod either. - Stealth IRST

The engine jet outlet looks a bit, er, small... - Stealth outlets

The two air intakes are very small and placed high up and far back...nice for compressor stalling. - Stealth intakes

It's quite shiny... If that's a stealthy paint job then it's totally different to what everyone else has been doing... - eeerrr stealth paint

The cockpit looks a bit ( read, a lot), like a mock up. - stealth instrumentation

The nose cone is tiny...is there a really really small radar in there? - stealth radar

Is their super stealth material actually plywood and evo-stick? - Stealth plywood (you try picking on a wooden fishing boat on radar 😯 )

It looks like the hangar doubles as a stable. - stealth horses, very advanced

See my explanations above, you really must try harder

I don't see the usual zig-zag lines on the canopy. Aren't they to do with ejector seats?

They are. They are explosives to shatter the canopy.

Now if the Iranians follow the USSR's example of announcing a weapon only after its successor has been deployed...

... they've built something that actually flies?

Meanwhile this pilot gets a hard hat with either a spike on the top or a coating of semtex?

At least we've come up with a proper way to test neck braces at long last.
