.... Matrix films?
Discuss 😉
Just settling in to watch Reloaded.
too right, can't wait for the fourth and fifth
They should have made them, because they might have been good. They weren't, but such is life.
I loved the first film.
Hated the second, because I was tricked into watching it by how good the first was.
Hated the third as I was forced into watching it because I was tricked into watching the second, so had to see all three....
Life's tough for me.... 😐
DrP

Well put.
Shouldn't have made the first either.
In hindsight no, but hindsight is wonderful like that
Love the first. Saw the second when it came out, hated it and drew a line. Never saw third. The Matrix is awesums!
On my second date with a rather nice young lady I fell asleep during 'Reloaded'. She nudged me and woke me up. 'What!' I snapped at her.
'You were asleep'
'Was I snoring?'
'No.'
'Well leave me alone then.'
We got married a year later, still happily married and she still loves me!
they couldve just made the next 2 good instead of being utter bobbins
the wachowskis have a new scifi trilogy in the offing too

Consider this a blessing
Story of Jesus, innit?
I thought the third one wasn't too bad. Second one is truly dire though.
got to give it a go really, nothing to loose.....
It struggles with the fact that the one good idea from the start doesn't quite know where it is going. Film 2 was made with a definite there will be a 3rd so was just a halfway house really.
Most successful multipart things have the ending before they start ie based on books etc. rather than stringing it along.
As an example a few of the big 5 part american TV series seem to have the full plot drawn out before they start then just fill in the detail around it.
Sometimes though people need to have the balls to make films like Inception where the ending is not the end, leaves you with questions and walk away. It was never meant to be answered, the only answer is what you come up with. The other competing force is that you can create characters that we invest heavily in that we want to know what happened to them - 2 more films about how they took up knitting and leaned how to make a proper pot of tea would have been more of a let down.
Well I liked all of them. And the animatrix too.
So there 😛
Kja78 - asleep and not snoring you say. I suspect many young ladies would see a certain attraction in that.
Just the other day I pulled the Matrix trilogy off the shelf, imagine my horror that I've lost the first disc. Gutted.
I wanted to watch them again to try and get my head round it a bit better.
Quit your jibber jabber 2 and 3 are worth watching for Monica Bellucci alone 😛 who cares about the story just let me stare at Persephone and go all any how for a few hours.
2 and 3 were both utter bobbins
The synopsis of that Jupiter Ascending, the next Wachowski trilogy:
Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along – her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
Isn't that pretty much The Matrix?
The first one was great but I quite liked the second and third as well to be honest.
The trick is to just enjoy the action, guns, explosions and nice ladies.

watched 2 a few times, skipping all the dialogue, takes about 20mins that way and it's ok 🙂The trick is to just enjoy the action, guns, explosions [s]and nice ladies.[/s]*
*there's more specialist movies for that kind of thing
I've only watched the first one. These days its easy to find out if stuff is rubbish before choosing to watch it.
The first was awesome, the second and third not as good but ok and predictable, but still just that, 'ok'.
They're all awful.
The first is like being trapped in the corner at a party with a sixth form philosophy student who's just discovered acid.
The rest are the same, but with worse drugs.

Pretty much the way of all trilogies; just look at LOTR.
That photo of Ms Bellucci... (Makes small whining noise, goes off to a darkened room to lie down for a bit)

You're going to have to explain that one....... 🙂
