Mine has died today.
Its a cheapo Candy and has survived 7rs of mountain biking muck & grit. At under £200 for 7yrs, can a AAA rated washer save me the extra I would have to spend?
Depends. Will your next £200 machine last 7 years?
Who knows?
Any idea how much cheaper to run AAA machines?
Does your stuff come clean at 30 degrees ? Should I take this to mumsnet...?
Are you trying to save wonga or mother earth?
Lazy bugger - do your research ! 😉
According to Which - online (costs £1 for a month btw): a AAA Miele W5740 costs £825 upfront and £22 pa.
In the same test an AAB Beko WME7247W costs £264 upfront and £24pa (3rd most reliable WM brand after Miele and J Lewis).
There are other things like noise, programs etc. Otherwise - subscribe to which. Or find a better trolling topic!
#Edit - I dont own either btw (and dont really care). Just felt like googling something useless.
I'm tight davidjones.
And thats why I haven't spent a whole pound a month on Which? 😀
Thank you couldawouldashoulda, Beko it is then.
AAA washing machines might be very clever and wash you're clothes at 30 degs, but in order to do this they seem to take twice as long as normal which is a complete PITA.
Having read numerous STW threads on washing machines and so on, the best thing to do is make a list of all the ones MF has had, and avoid them, then you should be fine 🙂

My goodness. Is there a government grant for such hardship?

Probably not. But if you want to help preserve baby foxes ...

At least your washing machine will have a higher rating than a lot of European countries.

My wife hates the latest new one too. Despite it being 'Woolmark' approved it seems to eat woolens and it keeps leaving marks on white loads.
