I've always considered that houses with next to no facilities around them but next to a main road are literally the last place I'd ever want to live.
And while is a pleasant little village, if you live away from the A7 (and does have a railway station), it requires a minimum of a 10 mile trip to get a proverbial pint of milk once past 5pm.
Nice quiet roads and some decent XC riding straight from the door though.
