Two issues that may be connected (or not!)...
a) I just ache! Legs, arms and sometimes back. I just have this dull ache most of the time - not painful, just noticable.
b) On a couple of occasions now I've woken up properly gasping for breath. Properly scary at the time, really couldn't breath. Scared the wife too. Only x2 times so far and months apart.
I do suffer from high blood pressure but it's controlled by pills.
I'm not an active cyclist or active sportsman anymore - but I'm far from sedentary. I do a lot of walking with the dog (pretty much average 10k steps/day), work is not just deskbound - up and down all day, plenty of DIY, lawnmowing etc.
55 in a month or so.
I’m a doctor, and yes you should. But you don’t need an urgent appointment, a pre-booked one will be fine.
Yes!
Look after yourself and I hope there's nothing serious going on
STW FTW
If you were still an active cyclist I would say No and then ask for your bike when you died. As you no longer cycle I guess I have nothing to gain so I would suggest you do go to the Dr

Bike is still in the shed - 26" Ti Inbred - one day it will be worth £££££'s!! 🤣
@Kramer
Thanks - just consciousness of how things are at the minute and wasting time. I'll wait till the morning rush is over and call docs later.
GP appointment. Probably need full bloods doing and Testosterone. Not normal to be struggling for breath ad 55 (I'm 53) unless you are at the top of a massive climb on the bike !

If all I saw was people who had something seriously wrong with them, then I wouldn’t have a job, because they wouldn’t need me.
A large part of my job is seeing and sorting things more effectively than if they’d been sent to a different specialist.
Bloods and testosterone were done at the start of the year - nothing flagged up. I have bloods done once a year anyway to make sure the BP pills aren't causing any damage.
I feel exactly the same. Legs feel like lead every morning, takes me a while to get going, general dull ache all of the time - like you say legs, arms, hands and back. Breathless walking up stairs, but I can go out and do a 40km ride with no issues.
I'm currently trying to get a 'wellman' appointment at the gp to get things checked out as suggested in a recent work health check.
I'm 45 btw
