We have an internal garage (en-bloc? Is that what estate agents say?). Looking to replace the up and over metal door with pvc double doors, and half height windows/ brickwork. Guessing we might need to put some foundations in as well for this?
Just wondering who to go to first? Window guy who will do the building? Or builder who will get in the windows? Not quite sure who to start with...
We did a small project (ours was a false bay window that we wanted to make a proper bay) - the window people organised the builder.

Builder to do the brickwork. After that then either the builders, window supplier or you fit the windows. You may also need a bit of plastering doing.
Overall it's a builder* you want.
*Given its a small job a 'handyman' might be able to do the brickwork/plaster. Putting windows in isn't difficult.
You want a builder, a good builder who has good contacts ideally with a decent window supplier, you'll probably also need to talk to the council as your changing the front appearance of your property.
Sounds like your looking to do a garage conversion... You won't necessarily need planning permission, but will require building regs approval, meaning it had to be converted as if you were building an extension essentially - floor and wall insulation, fire protection etc.
Planning permission for change of use?
If you intend to use it as a living area, insulation and ventilation will be required.
There are businesses out there that do this specifically, quite a popular conversion on our estate for people with built in garages.
