I'm off on holiday in a week and am looking for options for swimming googles to fit my prescription. Can't be arsed with contact lenses for various reasons.

Of course I've left it too late but notice Amazon do some goggles with a range of prescriptions in 0.5 steps.

My prescription is -1.75 left, -1.5 right. So I could just get a set of -1.5 googles from them tomorrow. Anyone used these? I know they won't be perfect but might be just about usable?

My wife uses them, like you say not perfect but better than nothing. She was able to sight properly at her last ironman with them

I use off the shelf ones from Hilco, £25 at specsavers. Store will Probably need to order them in.

I haven't used them but Decathlon do them as well, if you have one nearby. Think you can spec each lens separately.

I just swim in regular goggles I'm -2.5/-2.5 so more squinty eyed than you OP, normally I'm fine, I can stay in a lane and see other swimmers in the pool so it's not a big deal.

However I have been mulling over trying some of These lately as they're sensibly priced. Their turn around on orders is normally about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks which might not be quick enough for you though.

Aqua Sphere Eagle.

Goggles

Used for several years, really comfy and you get lenses sent separately, you pop them in yourself. So might be possible to get real quick.
I am -6.75 in one eye and -4.75. born years ago I would be humanely put down.

Decathlon here, 25 euros from memory. You buy each lens separately and the holder. Mine last about 2 years with daily swims in a heavily chlorinated pool.

Swans do really good prescription goggles, but I don’t recall how quick they were. I’m pretty short sighted in one eye (-5.5) and they could accommodate that.

I've got those Aqua Sphere Eagle googles. Work fine for the occasional swimming I do. Good to see where I am going in the pool anyway (-6 in each eye).

Did similar a few years back. Ordered some close to my prescription. Worked brill and Ive currently on holiday with them.

I needed them at the time for the Disney Water parks. Glasses would have popped off my face and Id not be able to see my family...

Im nearer -4 though.

I saw the title and I thought this thread was going to be about a fertility issue. 😮
