Hi all,
Looking for a get-away over Easter, and thinking of heading to Milan area.
Ideally we are looking for a small town we can get a bus to, stay in a cheap Air BnB there, eat at local restaurants, and do some relaxed hiking around (bearing in mind it's edge of winter), and maybe go a bit further and do a bit of skiing or snow shoeing.
Not having to hire a car would be ideal, but can hire if needed.
3-4 nights probably.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Duane.
Amy particular reason not to get a hire car? They are dirt cheap in Italy if you shop around. With a car you'll be spoilt for choice. Loads of great places within 2 hours of Milan. I'd probably go north east towards the dolomites.
Lake Como is only 50 minutes by car from Milan. Lots of small villages around the lake and mountains to go and play in.
Yeah, mainly trying to avoid to save money, but looks like can get one from about £20 per day which is decent.
