Any ideas on how to treat/ cover this? Pair of shimano shoes off vinted last week. Couple of wears the plastic in photo stating flake.

Any recommendations for what could cover with, as untreated looks like a great big sponge when it rains.  Thanks, Niall20240618_162718

Vinted??

Knackered more like.

Return them as unusable.

Jeez. Note to self, give Vinted a swerve.

I'd use Shoe Goo 2 over Sugru, Shoe Goo's been keeping skaters in shoes since the 90's...

But also, damn. Return policies on Vinted? Damn.

Good call on Sugru have some here, will give it a whirl.

1st bad thing had off vinted, rest of shoe, including sole reasonable condition for what i paid, reckon its age and stored near heat - I'm not devasted or moaning, they cost very little and are for my commute/ dicking around so wasn't going spend £100 on shoes if don't need. So I'll be keeping them.

Got a brand new pair of spd version for £16 as well. Again, even if don't last long won't be too upset.
