I wear black brogues for work and like then to be of a good quality to last. I do a job where I am in and out of the office a lot meaning wet ground to walk at the moment. So wet feet as all the ones I wear have leather soles.

Can anyone recommend a decent black brogue that has a rubber Goodyear welted sole, which still looks smart??? Like the classic look rather than the new modern fashion styled uppers.

Next time you take them to the cobblers for re-soling, get a rubber sole put on top of the leather. Sorted.

If you take a 42 I've a nice pair of almost new wingtip brogues for sale, brand new heels (which cost £20) and unmarked stick-on rubber soles, which are fine in wet weather. They are a tad too tight for me and I've given up on them. PM if you'd like some pics sent over.
