i'm meant to be confirming a job offer today for a positionb in italy. i'm going despite there being some doubts in my head and a shitty gutr feeling about the place.

and now some guy wants to give me an interview for a teaching position in Montserrat mountain range near Barcelona. i just got the email and can't contact him now via phone.

he wants to talk on the weekend. a day too late!

shit bugger.

what to do? can i stall the people in italy and hold out for the job in spain; risking loosing the job in italy and not getting the one in spain?

shit.

Accept the one in Italy.

Have the interview for the on in Spain over the weekend.

If you're lucky enough to be offered the one in Spain, and it's what you want, call the people in Italy and tell them that your personal circumastances have changed and you can no longer accept that post.

just got through to the guy in spain and he'll phone back at 7 tonight. it's a better position with more money, more holiday and more (accessible) riding. Igualada, Spain.... google earth it. it sits in a sort of bowl surrounded by hills.

italy want me to confirm today when i'll be there (i've already said yes to the job but haven't signed anything). i told them yesterday i'd take the job. i've stalled them sayin i'll phone them tomorrow and say when i'll be there.

I am disappointed at the absolute absence of any defecating primates in this thread.

I'd be wetting myself if I'd ridden my bike up there.

I know Monserratta reasonably well. A very interesting place indeed. But where in Italy were you offered, for me the right place in Italy beats the right place in Spain!

@ FxF..... Civitanova in Italy. a bit south of Ancona, if that helps.

the job in spain offers more hours, 26/week as opposed to 15/week in Italy.

also 6 weeks paid holiday and not three. and more €'s/hour, 15€ as opposed to 10.50€.

all that coupled with big hills 7km from town as opposed to 1 hour train ride in italy, cheaper accomodation, 200-ish, not 350-ish.

will keep my fingers crossed (and you lot too, please!) and speak to this guy at 7 tonight. then get happy drunk or depressed drunk.

I'd accept the Italy job then go for the Spanish one and decide afterwards.

A finger in both pies.
