Need advice...Went Merlin for a Shimano 180mm brake post mount to fit fox forks...As they had none in stock they gave me a Hope 183mm and said it`ll do the same job.....Anyone know if this is true..seems very strange.

I'm using a mix of hope and shimano ones.

Erm no, won't your caliper sit 1.5 mm above the top edge of the rotor?
