I mean the blood from shins and knees and elbows! Well, mostly. Crisp white cotton linen is hopeless, and I surely can't be the only rider with this issue. Why are the only multicoloured sheets out there made of not cotton? I have found some that are OK but still a bit pale on LaRedoute, but where are all the other cotton sheets that will forgive the oozing shin and crusty elbow?

I don't understand the concept here

Surely the purpose of clean white sheets is to highlight when your going to sleep in a manky cesspit.....Id rather be forewarned than to end up itching and licey

Just take some viagra. That'll at least keep the duvet off your legs.

Edit. Dammit! Failed to check gender of the OP!

I think Hannah will need some kind of transplant before the Viagra can do much

Edit. Dammit! Failed to check gender of the OP!

Do you take similar gambles in your love life? 😀

red sheets is indeed the answer. The fact that it feels like you're sleeping in a giant menstrual pool is just your weirdness...

I once spent the evening with a very nice person I'd een chasing for a while, but unfortunately I'd had a large off the day before.

woke up stuck to her sheets. Asking for some warm water to dissolve yourself off isn't the best look the morning after.

We buy our Autumn colours cotton bed linen from Les Trois Swisses. Sometimes orange like the wall and sometimes red, Madame decides which is appropriate, I note it's red today. There's a local shop You might be interested in but... terms and conditions.

Or grab some of the lightweight Troy lee shin/elbow guards.

I’ve been using the old shock doctor stuff for yonks but the new stuff looks nice.

Saves the shins/arms from the brambles/peddles/gravel rash etc and tbh I’ve worn them in hot climates and they weren’t that bad and they’re good if you do manage to exit the bike. them an full finger gloves.

Use proper dressings - if you are getting blood on your sheets its delaying healing. Hydrocolloids for the win

Wrap yourself in clingfilm. If it works for keeping dirt out of cuts it must work for keep blood _in_

Black. Always a good choice for not showing stains.
Avoid having any kind of UV light source around, though…

Dried blood isn’t bright red, you want a dark burgundy, dark green or black.

I always find that covering the cuts with mud on the ride stops bloodstains later on pretty well.
Thankfully no infections yet

He should know

Anyone else read the OP and wonder what she was doing IN bed to end up with those kind of injuries?

Roll them in wool carpet, far more absorbent, you'll need 25 kilos of lime for every...
Oh.
Nevermind.

Easy to accidentally scratch your scabs off in bed.

I used black dylon on some bed sheets, came out a pleasant charcoal colour.

Not to hide the blood though, I don't really care about that.

Brown nylon sheets. Turn all the lights off, jump in, get active(!) and experience the static electricity light show. Magic!

Not a solution, but you only live once Hannah!

A good selection of sensible and sublime. Thanks. Though none of you have found multicoloured ones! Single colour ones are ok I suppose, but I wanted patterns and prints really. Something like leaves or vaguely Aztec patterns. I don’t understand why they’re all on polycotton only. Maybe I’ll try some tie dying.

must admit I’ve always wondered what they’d feel like.

I’d give the slinky sleepsack a miss thou.

I played hockey for years with the astro burns that follow that.

Navy sheets are your answer.
