Looking for a mower/gardening/general crap store for the garden.

Don't want a full on shed, just one of those 6'x3' type stores.

Are they a;; created equally? Prices seem to vary from £130 - £250.

Should I be looking at T&G or Overlap board?

Found THIS ONE which looks like it should do the trick.

I already have some slabs I can make a base with.

Max budget of £250.

Any other recommendations?

Thanks

I reckon you could build a far better wooden storage unit than any of those sheds you've looked at for less than 100 quid, no probs.

Possibly, but time and lack of skill limit me.

this is singletrack.  plenty of people on here love building sheds and will give any advice and hold your hand til completion.  give it a go 😀

Tongue and groove is better imo. Looks neater and is generally stronger and less prone to movement (although there are other variables)

For a small shed I reckon you'd struggle to even buy the materials for the price of ready made shed. It all adds up pretty quick. And if you need a few tools you budget will rocket. The one you link to looks pretty good to me.

That one you've linked to is £200 by the time you've put a floor and a roof on it.

I've had a Billy-Oh bike store from the same website before (admittedly years ago) and it was fine.

Make sure you paint it with something decent and it will last a lot longer.

Make sure you can get stuff in and out easily, a mate has one and its like a jenga puzzle to get stuff in and out, if it was just a little bigger you would have enough space to use it easily.

i went to the local wood recycling place and they made one for me out of pallets. Cost about £250, is built like a tank, was sized exactly to my spec and you don't need to assemble it yourself 🙂

Thanks All.

Will have a look at a couple of the other suggestions and also look in the local shed places.

The Billy-Oh is looking favourite at the moment though.

I'd look at Tiger Sheds - Pick the one you like the look of or the best price and be done with it.

You cant buy the wood for the price of a ready made shed and you can spend the extra free time drinking beer in the sun or riding your bike.

Have a look at the prices on Tigersheds and see if you still think you cant buy the wood for that.

I nearly puffed myself into a bespoke bomb proof work of art.... Then I remembered i live down south and the garden is about as sheltered as it could be.

Hats off to those capable and willing to build their own ...  I'm just as jealous of the time they must have as well as their skills.

But Tiger Shed +1 ... put it together with screws, paint/treat well and maybe be prepared to buy more felt.

Good luck

I bought a small (6x4) galvanised steel shed from argos last month. Cost about £120 (less cashbook from quidco). But I also needed a base and gravel as it was going on unlevel ground (another 35quid).

It's a great durable shed, although not subtle. And it took two of us 4 hours to erect with a billion tiny screws and plastic washers with a cryptic instruction book.
