Need a 6 x 4 foot shed for garden tools, mower etc. The only place for it is on a slope infant of a wooden fence that has a lane behind it. The ground slopes down about 30 - 40cm within  the area of the shed.

I don't have the time or money for a concrete base. The adjustable stilt bases look good but only offer up to 20cm of adjustment.

I thought about laying 2 rows of paving slabs; one row at the top of the slope, the other at the bottom of the slope. Then use bricks or more slabs to raise the front to be level with the back. A guy at a local shed dealership suggested leveling the ground, laying paving directly onto the dirt, then a thick pressure treated wooden base ontop.

Any other sensible ideas? It is just for gardent tools and doesn't need power.

I built a shed on a sloping site. Dug slightly into the slope but most of the slope taken up by groundscrews with extensions on. Think I got the 750 screws and extensions from https://www.groundscrewcentre.co.uk/

Cardboard piling tube, some rebar down the middle. You should be able to put something similar together with drain pipe if that's easier.

I've just done the same with left over Gabion baskets.

You can order custom sized baskets to suit the height you need to make up.

If the low end is at the fence, happy days you can just fill them with what ever hardcore you have lying around, as they are out of sight.

If the low end is visible, face them with a few bags of nice rock and backfill with hardcore. Weed membrane fabric over the back and backfill/level with soil.

This is faced with hardcore behind, just finished yesterday so the lids are not wired shut yet.

Dig down half at the back and put a few concrete blocks or concrete gravel boards to retain it, then use the adjustable base or concrete blocks to build the front half up. Lay a few slabs and whack yer shed on it. It's only a lightweight shed for garden tools, it really doesn't need to be something that would feature on mega structures.

FYI

They’re doing lots of big screw in ground anchors, I was looking for ways of timing down a patio umbrella, if the base is self supporting could you so stich some of them in at the bottom end to lift it up.

We always used sacrifice wood under sheds, top it with roof felt to stop soaking up, every so of ten get the scaffold poles out and a couple of jacks lever the old ones out and put new ones in. I’d be tempted to try composite now though to save the maint3nance.

Eg. Lots more available size and price try ground screw as a search.

make a ring of beams around your posts, slightly elevated from the ground, then it doesnt matter what the slope is.  i ensured that the joists were supported by various stones and bricks in as many spots as possible.  it hasnt moved in 7 years now 🙂

ive got pics of mine in progress on page 3 of this thread....

I've just done this job, i think our slope to the back is about 200mm worst case, but it also slopes down the other way so would need all 4 corners at different heights/depths to make it level.

As its just for the mower etc i blasted some offcuts of  3x3" fence post into the ground and screwed a treated wooden frame work to it. think there are 6 pillars in total, 1 on each corner, 1 in the middle front/back and 1 in the middle of the rear most joist. The front of the framework sits on pea gravel for drainage.

I jumped up and down on the frame before we built the shed on it and it seemed solid enough, was the quickest & cheap option for me.

Having done a few projects in the garden involving removal of earth, I say avoid at all costs. What looks like skimming a few inches of topsoil off a shed sized area turns into bags and bags of soil, tonnes of it.

They're used a lot. You can sink screw adjustable brackets in as well, although I don't think that these are adjustable
