You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So some bikes were nicked from my shed over the weekend. It was my wifes trek remedy and an old trek that is used as a pub bike.
Locked shed and bikes chained together. S@$t happens. Insurance will only cover up to £2500 of contents for the out building so I'm losing out by maybe £200 give or take.
I want to learn from this mistake.
Who does good "shed insurance"?
Fortunately my bike was getting bearings replaced at the LBS but we're looking at over £6k of bikes in an outbuilding regularly.
Home insurance with specified contents - you will need to specify high value items on most policies and some will restrict where you keep them and certainly put restrictions on the quality of your shed and locks, also the premium will go up after your claim. I'd also be wary of a return visit soon as they know insurance will be paying out.
Pedalcover. Job done. Bikes covered anywhere including abroad on their household cover.
Not limited to values and you get an up to date replacement.
It’s run by cyclists who race and know what us pedalling folk need.
