Good bit of slow TV for F1/engineering fans.
A guy called Malcom Oastler (Ex-Reynard, BAR, Jaguar #F1 designer) building a bike engined hill climber from scratch in his garage.
Enjoy.
Nice.
Just watched the first episode. Can see this will be a nice little series to pass the time.
Just watched all his videos, you can tell he really knows what works and is so calm when explaining what he's doing 🙂
I was fortunate to work with Malcom at Reynard, really good guy and one of the few designers who can do practical work like this.
Good point and nice that you know Malcom. To have that level of design engineering and practical fabrication skill is something else.
Very true,Adrian Reynard built his own Formula Ford and was great at hands on stuff,we also worked with Gary Anderson who could do and make anything on a race car,I was lucky to be there at such a great time.
Thank you. Hillclimbs & Sprints are one of my favourite days out.
Top bloke, I remember the first time he landed his Heli on the front lawn at Jaguar. Our office was about 20 feet away. Fun times. Will have to look at the videos
