After some advice, I am due to order a 14ft x 8ft shed with the 14ft face to be the outwards/visible face and have a double outward opening door. The shed is being used to store BBQ, gardening equipment, DIY stuff and her bike (my bikes will be in the garage workshop).
The question is do I have the double door in the middle or to one of the sides to maximise internal space?
It’s the same space wherever you put them. If you put them at one end you’ll be forever having to retrieve stuff from behind other stuff.

If your shed ends up anything like my shed, this will be true wherever you put the doors 🙂
In the middle, gives you two distinct areas to divide stuff up and more useable wall space. If you put the doors at the end of the long wall you lose the wall space of the doors plus part way along the short wall.
Ive a similar one.. long and thin. I got the double doors in the middle of the long side.. works pretty good!
The only other viable option i think is have two doors on the shed so that the space can be used more effectively and youre still able to get bikes in and out without having to go an a mining expedition.
