I'm in the process of building a large 4m x 3m shed out the back. It's going to be 4x2 framing, then wrapped in membrane, then battened, then ????
Options are shiplap, treated feather edge, larch feather edge or larch waney edge. Any tips on which to go for pros/cons? As for looks I think I like the look of the larch feather edge but worried it may be more difficult to fix due to splitting.
I always built with shiplap , much easier to get a wind and watertight finish - last one we built was so wind and water tight we had to create venting - oops . But at least we were in control of that as oppose to trying to stem leakage.
Borrow/hire/invest in a nail gun if you dont already have one. Youll go nuts otherwise.
Good point on the nail gun. I've built a shed before just using a ryobi 18v combi drill and it was a nightmare. Now got a 14v dewalt impact driver which is a lot better.
