My own fault for using paypal gift..
But anyway, here's a tale of a missing part & no refund.
I paid for a part advertised on here & another forum on the 8th of April
I was told that it was posted on the 11th
By the 16th it'd not arrived, so I asked the seller for more info & an email with a scan of a receipt (not proof of postage) was sent to me
A few more emails were sent and replied to asking about when a claim with Royal Mail would be started
I was told that the claim form was 'saved and ready to go' on the 29th of April
So I waited, by the 22nd of May I was getting a bit fed up, so emailed the seller asking if I could have a refund, no response.
28th of May. Again emailed the seller asking why they were ignoring my email, OK it was a little hot headed, but nothing that would be considered OTT. Seller was active on the forum in that week, so would have had access to emails too
29th of May, I get a response!
....'I am not giving you a refund until I hear it from them (Royal Mail) that you have not received the stem and are pulling a fast one'.... I had provided the seller with feedback from other forums and eBay feedback, as well as letting them know that I was still placing wanted ad's on forums for a suitable stem, and had bought other stems on eBay as the one he had sent did not arrive
4th of June, I ask for some facts
Date of postage?
Do you have a proof of postage (not just the receipt)?
Date of claim?
5th June a reply saying that all the info was at his place of work and he'd send it to me the next day...
That was the last I heard from the seller.
The way I see it, my contract is with the seller to get the goods to me by any means possible.
Just because Royal Mail have not delivered is not anything to do with me, it's to do with the seller, so why the hell should I have to wait over 8 weeks for a refund?
Anyone got a pair of Bombers spare, I could really use some right now.

I'm hoping not to have to use that option, but I haven't ruled it out
Name and shame, I have the pitch fork nice and sharp and ready to go 😕
Why do you send it as gift?? Can you not send it as payment and add a bit extra to cover fees?
