Time plays tricks!
I have all the time in the world to get 25 - 30 paintings ready for my first exhibition of the summer...
blink
I only have 22 paintings and the exhibition starts a week Monday and I am expected to have "fillers" for any that are bought and taken before the end of the exhibition 4 weeks later.
gulp
Do I keep it as a 4 week solo exhibition or phone a friend for some of their work?
Come to Hanger Farm Art Centre between May 2nd and May 27th to see what I decide!

Will it be a touring exhibition?
Or will the north be remaining a cultural backwater, deprived of the latest artistic masterpieces?
You've got these artisitic masterpieces to peruse oop north

£350 for such a work (Chameleons, that is). Bargain. I say.
How dare you shamelessly exploit my shameless exploitation thread 🙂
binners - I can take a trip to Manchester to deliver yours specially if you want one.

Where can we see your work?
I have some work that's framed and ready to hang if you need a space filled. They are photographic works, portraits, quite large (1m x 0.7m). Just looked at your venue and I'm not a million miles away.
Jude - You can see my stuff here : NicksArtStuff.com
or at the amazing exhibition happening not a million miles from you 🙂
Put up a link to your stuff or PM me with details. I currently have the Artistic Director for my exhibition offering a number of his own pieces for consideration but no harm in seeing what you have.
Will it be a cheese and wine event, or crisps and lager ?

Smash out a few Jackson Pollocks

The location itself hosts some great music gigs, which is how I found out about it, and also weddings, knitting groups, comedy shows and has a bar and coffee shop. It is a bit of a strange venue for an art exhibition as it is really an Arts Centre run by a charity "local charity Minstead Trust, so ticket sales help us to continue supporting people with learning disabilities-meaning your great nights out also help change lives."
I am not sure it will be attracting the rich and eager art crowd but I am happy to give the charity some money to find out and if I do sell things then we both win. Not exactly wine and cheese or lager and crisps, more coffee and cardigans if that is a classification.
If you are not sure about the art but fancy a look, I would book for one of the gigs and turn up early to look at the art.
Nick - it's always a complete joy to discover new art by a talented artist. Your stuff is just fabulous; sincerely I adore your talent! I would love to visit the exbibition and may well just do so. It's a 90 minute drive so reasonably doable and I will have at least one weekend in May where I am stuck for things to do with the kids so I may just make a day of it out in Southampton with themn. There look to be a few other worthy art galleries in town but I think a 12 and nine year old boy will tire of art quite quickly, Is the Solent Sky worth a visit; if not what else would be a good attraction?
My work is likely not going to fit well with yours! I had an exhibition in a gallery in Brick Lane last year where I prepared three images for display and hopefully sale but sadly, though there was interest, there were no takes. Two of the images are hanging in my house and one is in storage. That would be the image I would like to sell as much as I like the image, it's a bit too homoerotic for my 'bi-curious/heteroflexible' sensitivies!
The image is as follows, limited 1/5 c-type print on super gloss paper, signed and framed 1m x 0.7m:

You can see more of my work here:
My latest project isn't published on my website yet but a small selection can be found here:
Nice photo's but as you say, not exactly going to fit well with mine :-). I am hoping to get some of my stuff into a gallery that should be opening soon in Midhurst. If I get in there, do you want me to share your details with the owner?
Southampton Bike Park should be re-opening after a £200,000 refurb in about 3 weeks if your kids ride. It is about 500m from my house so please let me know if you are going there and I will ride over to say Hi.
Not sure what other stuff for kids around that age as I don't have any but I am sure others on here could advise.
On your website, on several pages I get a section of text but no accompanying photo. Not sure if this is my computer or your website.
My photo portrait isn't quite up to your standards

No it really doesn't 'fit' does it 😆 and that's totally cool! Yes please, do share my details. That would be awesome thank you.

they do but sadly I am stymied with transporting bikes by car so not really an option.

Hmm, that's not good! Which pages are you looking at? It's a Squarespace site so it shouldn't be an issue but it might be that some of the images are quite large (I'm not always good at resizing images to make them more web friendly!)
Your website does work. I just clicked on the text and the many small images appeared. Not sure what was happening before, perhaps I didn't click the text or something
