THis forum has become far to serious for it's own good of late. It's all EU referendum and arguments and generally depressing shite like that.

In order to counterbalance this, i'm going to spend the rest of the day thinking about shows from TV when I was a kid.

Join in.....or don't. Whatever.

I can't post a picture at work, as the net nanny won't let me on any of the host sites, but until recently I re-watched a lot of Mary, Mungo & Midge, on youtube with my daughter.

It's all about the sci fi for me:
Chocky
[img] [/img]
The Tripods:
[img] [/img]

what was the live action one where some kids met some people who had to go to a stone circle at the end of the series and they were actually aliens?
There was also all the CFF films that were repreated throughout the 80s. Sammy's Super Tshirt is the one everyone remembers.

Close - 1978! (God, that makes me feel WELL old...)

My folks recently moved house, and dug out boxes of my old toys, including a large number of M.A.S.K. vehicles - Matt Tracker's flying car etc! Loved that, and also Bravestarr...

Anything with Derek Griffiths.

Camberwick Green/Trumpton. Born in 76 so copped for repeats and meant I never really saw Chigley. Apparently I used to cry when they went back into the little musical box at the end of Camberwick Green 😳

Also mentions for Jamie And His Magic Torch, Mr Benn, Cockleshell Bay and the mighty Trap Door. Ooh yeah, and owt by Gerry Anderson.

My six year old is firmly addicted to She-Ra (all the episodes can be found on yootoob).

My fault really, she hit me with the "Dad, why can't girls be super heroes?" question and I had to dig out some strong female role models. 😀

How about Silas? Anyone remember that?

Yep. Good mate at school was nicknamed Silas because he apparently looked like the kid in it (except he didn't at all).

A friend of mine has a vinyl LP with the Mr Rossi theme tune in every language the show was syndicated in. I can't think of any other instance of an album where every track on it is the same song.

{edit} looks like you have to click through to youtube to view it
