We have had a server refresh at work and no need for the old kit, so I am looking at selling it. But I have only a vague idea what it’s worth.
Anyone any ideas how much it’s worth and is any one interested in it?

Firewall : Cisco ASA 5510 (x1)

Switches : Dell PowerConnect 3524 (x3)
Cisco SG200-26 (x1)

Servers : Dell Poweredge 1950 (x2)
Dell Poweredge 2950 (x1)
Dell Poweredge R300 (x4)

Other : Dell PowerConnect RPS-600 (x1)

Cisco firewall is worth ebaying, rest of the stuff is probably worth less than the hassle.

There's pounds in most of the kit other than the ASA. Like MSP said I'd skip them, give them to employees or find a school that might want them to dissect.

Yeah very little market for 3+ year old kit, we vary between paying for someone to take it away and getting something like £25 for a server. The ASA is worth eBaying but value would depend on licences and modules in it.

Make sure you wipe it properly!

given the kits low value I'd just whip any hard drives out and smash them with a hammer.

Sorry all, missed all the last posts.

xiphon - I based in Darwen/Blackburn

Cougar - Sure mate give me a bell of email

The HDD will have to be removed and destroyed. The servers was top of the range when we bought them (for the whole server setup was over £100k) Shocking to think they are worth naf all.
