My wee boy's recently started playing rugby. Just had a warning from his rugby club about this scam mail going around: BBC Link

There're some sick individuals about.. 🙁

Jeez! That's unbelievable.
I take photos of my son's U11 football and rugby matches and was a bit put out when a woman had a whinge about getting permission.
These are the sort of sick bastards that cause issues like that.

That's a good point. I was just creeped out by it but it's true that sick ****s like this make everyone suspicious.

Hopefully the sender is tracked down and face justice/the wrath of the mob before they do more than some phishing emails.

Dez, I took Little Miss CFH swimming for the first time months ago. Private gym pool, and a quiet afternoon. I took along my waterproof camera to record the moment.

Was admonished by a member of staff and told I wasn't allowed to take pictures. Not of her, not of anything.

I pointed out the mothers sitting by the pool taking photos of their kids on their phones. Member of staff was stumped and muttered about data protection or something. Pathetic.

That aside, that's a pretty worrying scam there. Good to see if getting the coverage needed to, hopefully, stop it ever 'working'.

Yeah, I did that 11 years ago. I couldn't fathom why I wasn't allowed to take a photo of my own child!
Still got a little video of his first time in the water though 🙂

I think we've found the culprit.

I have some truly epic pics of the girl in the water. She took to it like the proverbial duck. 😀 Even better pics of her in the water in Antigua, but no one complained about camera use there! 🙂

Ah yes, 'data protection', the get-out clause for the officious beaurocrat who like to throw their weight around.
There is no 'data protection' law that covers this sort of situation, in a public place.
In a shop, museum, gallery, yes, but not public places.
