You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Friend of my recently broke his back, looks like he'll not walk again, and currently in hospital learning to live with this disability. Likely to be in hospital for 12 months give or take. The NHS has provided fantastic medical care.
However, his family's life has been turned upside down. One thing they're struggling with is getting good info regarding benefits claims. There's CAB, and a chap that appears once a week at the hospital, but its seems to be so ridiculously complex, so long winded, and convoluted. We're not even sure we're asking the right questions etc. Wondering if anyone on here had any pointers to de-stressing the process.
Cheers in advance.

Council may also do them
Some disability charities do them but will vary locally

Where is he based?
If he is in scotland then get in touch with spinal injuries scotland, if not then the hospital where he is undergoing rehabilitation "should" have a spinal injuries welfare officer to deal with all the paperwork and smooth through the channels to enable a successful PIP and invalid care program.
Thanks for the input.
It all happened in Scotland. But now moved from Glasgow to Salisbury.
