Last weekend I took a heap of photos up at the Brass Monkeys event. I'm not sure why I did it, I guess I was doing it because I want to get better at photography, and I've got some newish kit I want to learn how to use (Remote flash) and I thought it might be fun.
I hadn't really thought what I might do with the 300+ shots I took I suppose, until it was suggested that I should sell them for charity, rather than give them away as that's treading on the toes of the pros. (Ohh, that rhymes!)
I've not made a lot of money (Less than £30) but it's all going to Help for Heros, every penny of it.

Now, not for one second am I pretending that I can compete with the pro snappers, not with my battered Canon 400D, £70 Vivitar flash, and lack of skill. Not at all.
But the feedback I've had from the shots I've sold has been pretty good, I think I'm develpoing some sort of style here and there, and most of the pics are nice and crisp.
SO what d'ya reckon my chances are of selling a few for myself? I'm not going to make a mint, but I enjoyed it and people seem happy.

Would this annoy anyone, basically? That's what I'm worried about. I'd rather leave it be than p**s someone off.....

why would it, you made them, its your time.

people who take pictures at motorsport events and club trackdays do it....

go for it

p.s there is a guy here who is paid to go riding with people to get action shots when riding for them. he jumps off snaps away then carrys on then does the same again and earns not a great deal but most of the week now hes busy so like 30 euro per ride x2 day earns him a little pocket money,

Unless the pros were signed up with an exclusivity deal, the event was held on private land AND all guests were warned on entry, you're not stepping on anyones toes.
