I'm just about to sell a 5 year old car. For advertising, how much mention / how many photos should I take of any dings or scratches? Is it safer to highlight anything larger or assume that the buyer will expect it to be in 5 year old condition?

most 5 year old cars don't have many dings and scratches, so if there is anything larger than that i'd want to know before i go and view it. i expect you would too.

As tribalchief says - I wouldn't expect any major bodywork issues on a 5 year old car so you need to be open about anything like that as It could save people a wasted trip.

Be totally open about it and show photos. It's what you'd want (I assume) as a buyer.

Yes, be open, otherwise you'll only piss folk off. You don't need to go into uber detail but enough that they won't come and say "well that's nothing like the pictures".
