I've done it on skis a couple of times and it's great, would live to do it by bike. I think they have separate bike and walking routes round. I'd love to hear from someone who has actually done it by bike.

My mate & I rode it a few years ago sort of by accident. We were staying part way up the Pordoi for a week of road riding & didn't even realise it was on until we arrived the previous day and saw the signs etc.
Seemed churlish not to join in, so we simply rode out of our accommodation and into the hordes (and yes there are definitely hordes) heading up the Pordoi.
It's a very chilled out ride and definitely not a race. As well as the lycra warriors there were guys on all manner of old bikes including a penny farthing. Everyone is very friendly.
The descents can be exciting when you come across people (generally mountain bikers) riding in the opposite direction apparently not put off by being faced with hundreds of roadies hurtling towards them.
All the climbs are well graded and with even a modicum of fitness it doesn't take more than a few hours of actual riding.
Enjoy.
