Probably a bit less than £150k, not including land, Ive done alot of the work myself so have saved a fair bit on labour.

No problems like that, no-one has died yet so all is good!

"What's the driveway, and how much?"

Its pea gravel on a plastic grid system, had to be permable to keep building control happy, got it off ebay, worked out at £8 per metre for the grid plus stone for a base and gravel to cover (gravel about £34 per dumpy bag)

Looks good - from that distance and angle, I thought it was resin-bound aggregate. Might look into that for my mid term drive extension.

If you zoom in you can see the grids. Needs another ton or so spread over it.
It stays put when you walk or drive on it. Not like gravel alone and that sinks etc.

Looks really great. Exterior is very sharp. Windows look very cool against the minimal render.
Did you blog the process? I'd love to do a similar build someday

Ive loads of photos as its been going but that's it.
The render is nice. I was a bit worried as I've seen a lot of poor jobs but a couple of local lads done it and it's a great job. They've done the internal plastering also and it's spot on.
