There are a few on here who seem to be interested in Seiko watches.  Creation used to be probably the best place to go ... but they seem to be having supply issues ....

Anywhere else doing legit Seiko on-line?

thanks

Why Seiko? Just curious? There's heaps of boutique brands which offer better for less. Sapphire crystal, AR coating, ceramic bezels, better bracelets. Having said that I've had a couple of Samurai's in my ebay "watch" list but I'm holding out for Helm to get their Vanuatu watch back in stock. Also look at Spinnaker, Phoibos, Marc & Sons, just for ideas.

Seiko ... just because they are good "everyday" automatic watches for the price ...

Thanks for the suggestions - Phoibos look a little to bling,  Spinnaker a little in yer face ...

But the Marc and sons and as you say the Vanuatu is very nice ...

I have a Steinhart ... but they blotted their copy book with some very off hand customer service ...

Those other brands you list use Seiko movements, except the last one Marc & Sons who look like they use Citizon.

With Seiko you know exactly what you’re getting.

And a big plus is nobody describes them as a "boutique brand".

Why Seiko? They’re the best value watches, bar no-one IMO. The only one who come close are Orient, who are owed by Seiko... I’ve owned more than my fair share of OK, low end watches, and there really is nothing that comes close in terms of quality and performance.

A big plus for you perhaps. Kind of like bikes I guess. You can buy an off the peg Specialized and be happy knowing it will do the job, but you'll see lots of them around. Or you can buy something a little nicer with a bit more thought gone into the built. Yeah both will do the same job but (as is clear by the threads and posts here). People like niche, individual and things that stand out a bit.

Well Phoibos use Miyata 9015 movement.... But there's not much wrong with the Seiko NH35 type. Very good - many years of use with little to no servicing.

Seiko also have pretty much the best lume going, but some of their rubber straps are terrible!

Yeah it's not bad but some of the newer companies are doing 15+ layers of bgw9 or sandwich dials and the lume on them is pretty amazing and real nice coral/blue colour. Plenty on the bezel too.

Seiko's Lumibrite is pretty good though.
