Firstly apologies for breaking summer. I've just bought a pair of shorts.
On the positive side the shop sent them but with the security tag still attached so I can't wear them.
Question is are all shop systems the same? Will the tag being present set off an alarm in another shop? Can I pop into the nearby shopqith the receipt and ask them to use the fancy magnet thin for removing to tag.
Why does it matter if the alarm in Tescos goes off for something they don't sell ? and you have a receipt.
They're easy enough to remove.
They’re easy enough to remove.
especially the ones with dye in them.
Please post pics 🙂
I used to keep one in my pocket just to set the alarms off - no security staff ever stopped me.
The other evening there was a woman in the supermarket who had something in her trolley that set it off & she kept going back & forth, no one helped her for about 5mins.
I'm sure there are YouTube videos on how to remove them. I've removed a couple in the past, one on a bottle of whiskey and another on an item of clothing. Neither had dye in them. I'd paid for them both!
I hear that the ones with liquid in them can be helped by freezing before attacking. Just a rumour mind you...
I guess that a ring magnet such as found in a speaker might make them release?

WTF, why? Unless your job entailed testing store security systems and staff response times it just sounds like someone acting like a bell-end to me...
Don't you just whack it with a massive hammer and hope for the best?
Once upon a time I <span style="text-decoration: underline;">bought</span> a chum (who happened to be a copper) a bottle of malt for his birthday. He opened it later on in the evening and found it still had the security tag on. it came off no bother though...
