Any recommendations for a secure mounting system for a camera that uses a tripod screw in mount? Pondering ways to mount my Olympus Mju to various things, such as a boom or mast on a dinghy, among other things.
So, waterproof and secure. What's out there?
There's a tripod screw adapter that will fit any GoPro mount. Might offer lots of options.
Could try one of those bendy tripods and wrap the legs around whatever you want to attach it too. I've used mine on railings, drainpipes, tree branches, etc.
You can get sucker mounts similar to those seasucker bike mounts.
A colleague of mine wanted to try out his fancy pants gimbal camera thing, so we stuck it to the bonnet of my car and I gave him a lift home so he could fiddle with it via a tablet. It was rock solid for an hour at 70mph and that was just using one of those.
Obviously no good on tube shaped stuff...

I've got one of those bendy tripods. It's great at holding in funny positions. One of these...
I don't use it much and was thinking of selling. Yours for £35 posted.
Manfrotto Super Clamp could work for attaching to tubes etc. https://www.manfrotto.co.uk/super-photo-clamp-without-stud-aluminium
