My mobile phone which was a poor buy( but cheap as) has really reached the end of its useful life. I intend to buy another second hand - probably from CEX. What one should I go for? needs a good battery life, lots of megathingies, android
The local CEX shop has a big range of phones. I don't really care about cost here so looking for a year old phone perhaps.

Any advice - Samsung? ( they seem to have a few of different types)

Anything to avoid? Ta chaps - its hellish turning into an old befuddled chap

The problem with a second hand mobile is that the one thing that degrades over time is the battery. If this a priority for you then it's potentially an issue. Unless you factor in a battery change at some point in the faff/cost consideration.

Motorola G7 Power...big battery so even if there has been a loss in battery performance from being second hand, its still going to be good. They dont sell them new anymore but they were sold off for £130 at John Lewis etc so shouldnt be too much on the second hand market. Love my one and its really demonstrated that you dont need to spend silly money to get a good phone these days.

CEX test them and give a guarantee on batteries IIRC

I will be looking to keep it for many years. To get a choice from a shop like CEX obviously I need to go for something that has been popular. Not looked for a while obviously but last time I looked it was mainly samsungs they had.

[Not-very stealth ad] I've got an S8+ I bought from here but never got used for intended purpose you can have for £80 (PPG posted). It's got a slightly damaged screen, but it's cheap! Comes with a new Zagg InvisibleShield (still in box) & all the gubbins.

Definitely won't get any worse and that's a brutally honest 3rd photo, - it's when on bright white backgrounds you notice damage usually. You're more than welcome to take it on sale or return 🙂
