I'm going to be stuck in JFK tonight as my flight is stuck on the ground due to rain. Anybody have any hints how to keep my sanity as very likely to have a comfortable night on the floor....

Take your shoes and socks off and walk around in your bare feet, scrunching the carpet in between your toes [img] [/img]

Stuck on the ground due to rain? What's wrong with those Americans? They'll be banning people riding mountain bikes when it's raining next.

Well, I was flabbergasted to hear that all groomed trails are closed when it rains

The only thing that stops people cycling in Glentress is 2 feet of snow apparently...

Must be a bummer for you, but I don't have much sympathy for folk with big carbon footprints!

Ho Hum

How naive you seem to be. Ever been stuck in a traffic jam.

Ho Hum better seeing JFK than not

Guess you don't travel or go abroad on holiday or even been on a plane. Very worldly comment

I couldn't care less, but its very amusing winding you up.

Have you nothing better to do than be unpleasant? Is that why you are home alone? Why else would you pop on to this thread and pathetically call people names.

Wow, what a fulfilling life!

I edited my post because I actually feel sorry for your predicament.

You are not winding me up.

What makes me laugh is that I am at home and will be going to bed soon after some nice sex whilst you are stuck in pishy airport on the other side of the Atlantic.

Damn storms have been massive today. It's times like this when being gold/silver/platinum is most useful and you get use of lounges to relax. Loads of flights cancelled here today (Detroit) but looks like boarding on time.

+1 for lounge access! Having been stuck at many an airport, it's a real sanity saver!

Only problem can be at some airports, notably JFK BA Flounge and HKG Cathay Flounge, where the staff keep your drink topped up.........sozzled before boarding. Oops.

Made it! Drove the 12hrs from Raleigh. Slept on the floor of check in, as Virgin had no staff there for a while, then slept on the plane home.

Still knackered
