I'm hoping that hull can be used for ramming 8)
On another note, I've been getting daily updates of the dolphin slaughter in Taiji. Heartbreaking 🙁
Is that the old one thats been fixed?
Hopefully they won't put holes in this one
Shouldn't we be encouraging whaling?
Surely if we pull all those big fat whales out of the water the sea levels will drop and we won't need to worry about global warming?
Is that the old one thats been fixed?
It's replaced the Ady Gil that sank last year. This new one is former round-the-world-record-holding Ocean Adventurer so she's fast and very seaworthy, and looks cool as **** to boot 🙂 Batman is in fact on board as part of the crew 8)
Just needs a pop-up machine gun in that deck hatch 😈
hmmmm.....fast and sea worthy but light not going to be suitable for their usual ram the whaler tactics!
Still looks like it's going to work as well as the last for ramming 🙂
Can you get insurance for a whaler hitting you.
Let's hope they can get this one into reverse a bit quicker than the last one when the the Japs are at ramming speed.
I did have the pleasure of checking out the Ady Gill last summer.
Hope they don't take it off Somalia, likely to get shot at by over eager navies!
There are two simple solutions:
1. Buy the now old UK aircraft carrier and ram that onto the Japanese whaler.
2. Provide as many warm clothing as possible to the Somalian pirates and invite them over to hijack the whaler.
It looks cool. I saw a documentary about the boat prior to the adi gil and the whole operation comes off as a bit mental. Captain and crew constantly disagreeing, nobody sure what their "mission" is etc.
I hope all you anti whalers have all given up eating fish, there's a lot more than just the whales under threat.
avdave2, yep. 🙂

Yes, I picked that up on the Facebook feed today. Good work. 😀
